Marafiq Seawater Cooling Department at Yanbu with installed capacity of 580,000 cubic meters per hour supply seawater to Yanbu Industrial City industries through a 27 Km length of under ground FRP network. The under ground FRP net work ranges in size from 3700 mm to 600 mm diameter and classified in primary, secondary and tertiary loops for stability, uniform pressurizing and redundancy in supply net work. One new large size seawater pump with capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per hour will be added under Capex program in 2008 increasing pumping capacity to 640,000 cubic meters per hour (total capacity 15.3 million cubic meters per day)
Being the sole supplier of Seawater cooling in Yanbu Industrial City, the department carries demanding responsibility in very potential industrial sector of the region, the job remains crucial.

Ever increasing demand of the Seawater Cooling, aging plants, difficulties in procurement of the material, spare parts and resources in the region have been the main challenges in process of accomplishment of our mission.

Within four years of formation of Marafiq the completion of major tasks & diversified programs had contributed to the development and progress of Marafiq in all dimensions.
