A Marvel of Innovation and Engineering

The dual-purpose facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology to produce 2,745-megawatt power and a water distillation output of 800,000 m3/day.

The Jubail Integrated Water and Power Plant (IWPP) is based on combined cycle generation and has four power blocks consisting of three Gas Turbine Generators (GTGs) and one Steam Turbine Generator (STG) each. Moreover, the water facility is equipped with high-capacity 27 desalination units, working on Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) technology.

Marafiq has partnered with multiple companies to operate the Jubail IWPP Plant. This joint venture includes Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), the Public Investment Fund, and the SGA Marafiq Consortium comprising ENGIE, Gulf Investment Corporation, and ACWA Power Projects.
