Tawreed's role is to buy and sell power and water as an Offtaker Company. It buys all the power and water produced by Jubail Water and Power Company (JWAP) from the Integrated Water and Power Plant (IWPP) under the Power and Water Purchase Agreement. Tawreed then sells all the power to Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) and 62.50% of the water to Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), and 37.50% of the water to Marafiq under the On-Sale Agreement. Tawreed is also responsible for providing fuel to JWAP for generating power and water in the IWPP. The fuel is purchased by Tawreed from Saudi Aramco, the sole fuel supplier in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the Fuel Supply Agreement.
