Vice President of Operations
Sami Sulaiman Al-Huwais currently serves as Vice President of Operations, Maintenance, and Power Generation and Transmission at Marafiq Company in Yanbu. He has over 31 years of professional experience with Saudi Aramco, where he has held various positions, from Electrical Engineer to Department Manager, most recently as Director of the Abqaiq Plant Maintenance Department.
His expertise spans energy, projects, engineering consulting, oil and gas production, and facility maintenance and operation.
He has contributed to the development and construction of several strategic facilities, such as the Hawiyah Gas Plant, the Khursaniyah, Manifa, and Khurais plants, and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Al-Ahsa.
He has completed advanced leadership programs and earned accredited certifications in maintenance and reliability, management, and communication. He has also received more than 20 awards in the fields of operational excellence, environment, safety, and innovation. He is an active member of several professional associations specializing in electricity, maintenance, and reliability.
